It's Time to Get---Ooo! Shiny!

There are some of you writers out there who find a project and stick with it. You refuse to get distracted by random thoughts and ideas for new, more exciting stories. You plug along, careful to keep the writing blinders on until your book is finished.

I bow down to you. I wish everyday that I could be one of those writers, too. But alas, as you will see if you look at my Works In Progress section, I have not one, but several WIP. And notice, too, that they are not the same genre. My tastes vary, as does my writing.

So when I need to write, as I have promised myself, at least 600 words everyday in Never Back Down, glints of shiny new beginnings flutter in my imagination. They tantalyze with the prospect that today, this will be an easy writing session, if only I will come flirt with this other project.

Sigh. Anyone out there willing to share their hints and tidbits of information with me? How do you focus when--Ooo! Shiny!
